Il Postino（The Postman 郵差）這部電影在研究所的時候曾經看過一次，之後要再找來看已經找不到了。郵差描述智利左派詩人聶魯達（Pablo Neruda）流亡到義大利的西西里島上，與一位信差之間的忘年友誼。全片充滿義大利電影的細膩敘事風格，娓娓道來，沒有好萊塢片的煽情誇張。
我想來推薦的是它的電影原聲帶。事實上我是先聽了原聲帶聽了好長一段時間才去找這部片子來看的。原聲帶分為兩個部分，前半是請好萊塢大明星們，如Madonna、Juila Roberts、Sting、Glenn Close等人來朗誦聶魯達的詩作，襯上背景音樂。後半就是電影的主題音樂，大部分是同一曲子，以鋼琴或弦樂、豎琴、吉他等不同樂器演奏。
之所以長年以來偏愛這張原聲帶的原因，除了對於義大利這個國家的神往之外，主要還是這其中的音樂為我帶來性靈上的穩定感。我特別喜愛在灑著陽光的午後，泡一杯咖啡對著一本好書，並且播放這張電影音樂專輯...彷彿自己也身處於這個南歐靴子國家一般地毫無牽絆。或者一個人開著車享受鄉野的化外之趣，這張專輯也同樣為我帶來心靈滿足。
